social media has taught me
that everyone is
famous and beautiful
and always doing
amazing stunning
fascinating important
things.

we all like to
have fun
and we all like to
eat good food
and we all feel
badly about ourselves
sometimes.

and sometimes
we feel great
and we like to show
how great we feel
by showing our
teeth or
our breasts
or our hair or
our shining hairless heads.

we are all sad
and we miss people
and animals
and places
we love.

we are all of us
in love,
all of us
depressed,
all of us
on our way home
from a tough day
in middle school,
excited for
a snack,
a hug,
a lick from our dog,
a shower,
sleep.

social media has taught me
that i am
a human. and
it is ok to
love humans.
